Hobbyboss P-38

I've tried to build a P-38 before, the Hasegawa one, the Academy one, every time I had some problem lining up the wings, always looked wonky. This is the Hobbyboss one, the entire wing fuselage section is one piece and very few parts, a delight to build. And some of the best clear parts I've seen. However due to the nature of how it's molded, surface detail is lacking on the fuselage sides and there's a raised panel line on the engine nacelle, both easily fixed with a scriber, rivet tool, and that tape I can't remember the name of.

1/48th Corsair

Made a right bollox of this, I had a plan for shading that involved lots of masking, but I got fed up of it, airbrush started spitting, paint bled though the canopy masking and some other disasters too, dunno how I'm going to paint the underside now that I've put the decals on...Anyway..

Hawker Hurricane Mk.1

The new tooled Airfix kit, it's pretty good, some sink marks on the tail plane, decals are great, even though I messed them up but skimping on the gloss varnish. This was just for practice, pieces left out, decals left out, no attention to detail, just trying to get back into it, first aircraft kit in years.

Tools

I'm a little prone to exaggerating the wood grain on tools to make the look more wooden, so going for a more realistic effect here.

Scratches..

I was looking at the scratches on my car door where it hits the wall every time I open it, and the scratches always have a light mark before the dark mark, so I thought I'd try that here thinking I was onto a new technique ,turns out it's already been done.

Mobelwagen before I ruin it..
